Urban Electric Crossover by Skoda: Urban-friendly Electric Vehicle Unveiled
Skoda has announced plans for its upcoming fully electric city SUV crossover, the Epiq. The production version of this vehicle is expected to hit German roads in 2026, with a market launch planned for the same year, although specific dates remain undisclosed.
The Epiq adheres to Skoda's new "Modern Solid" design language, featuring deeply set headlights, a robust front bumper, and a spoiler in Cosmo Grey. A tornado line separates the body panels, emphasising the Epiq's broad shoulders. The vehicle's length of 4.10 meters places it within the compact city SUV segment.
Skoda CEO, Klaus Zellmer, has stated that the Epiq embodies the essence of Skoda. The Epiq offers a spacious interior in compact dimensions, user-friendly digital interfaces, and Simply Clever details, such as numerous storage compartments, bag hooks, attachment points, and hidden underfloor compartments for diverse storage solutions.
The Epiq's design also includes a glass cabin, which highlights a dynamic and modern overall impression. In the interior, the Epiq adopts a "Mobile First" approach with minimalist, functional design. Classic control elements like buttons and haptic scroll wheels are retained for user convenience.
The Epiq's range stands at up to 425 kilometers, and it can accommodate five passengers. The vehicle offers wireless charging for smartphones and boasts a boot volume of 475 liters. The pricing for the production version of the Epiq has yet to be announced by Skoda.
The Epiq show car was initially unveiled as a concept, offering a glimpse into Skoda's future electric vehicle lineup. The production version of the Epiq is set to debut in mid-2026. Klaus Zellmer's words echo the excitement surrounding this new electric vehicle, as it promises to be a significant addition to Skoda's lineup.
