Halle Housing Association Welcomes New Apprentices

The Halle Housing Association (HWG) has welcomed eight new apprentices to its ranks, bringing the total number of apprentices to 17, which represents approximately 6.5% of the company's workforce. This figure is significantly higher than the state and national averages.

In a statement, Thomas Girod, HWG's personnel director, expressed his delight at attracting three young people to begin skilled apprenticeships. He emphasized the importance of the new apprentices identifying with the company and the city.

The apprenticeships are available in various trades, including real estate agent, IT specialist for system integration, painter/varnisher, roofer, electronics technician for energy and building technology, and industrial mechanic for sanitation, heating, and air conditioning.

The HWG offers a diverse range of training content to its apprentices, ensuring they receive a comprehensive education. The company's commitment to training is evident in its recognition by both the Halle Chamber of Crafts and the Halle-Dessau Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

New apprentices can look forward to a competitive wage, as outlined in the collective agreement, which includes holiday and Christmas bonuses. They will also enjoy 30 days of vacation.

The apprenticeship welcome event, organized by the second and third-year apprentices, included a first look at the diversity of the HWG's holdings, a joint meal, and bowling to help everyone get to know each other.

Interested parties can now apply for the apprenticeship year 2023 via the HWG's dedicated apprenticeship website www.ausbildung-halle.de.

While we do not have authoritative data on HWG’s apprenticeship statistics for 2022, it is clear that the company is committed to providing opportunities for young people to learn and grow within the organisation.

The Halle Housing Association (HWG) is dedicated to offering diverse apprenticeships in fields such as news (real estate agent), education-and-self-development (IT specialist for system integration), career-development (painter/varnisher, roofer, electronics technician for energy and building technology, industrial mechanic for sanitation, heating, and air conditioning), and skills-training (all listed trades).
