Three Innovative Startups Crowned Net Zero Challenge 2023 Winners, Securing Millions in Grants and Investments
Three innovative startups, Alterno, Forte Biotech, and AirX Carbon, have been crowned winners of the Net Zero Challenge 2023, each receiving a significant grant of VND 15 billion (USD 630,000). Additionally, Alterno and AirX Carbon secured USD 50,000 each in investment prizes.
The Net Zero Challenge, a collaboration between Touchstone Partners and Temasek Foundation, aims to support startups developing solutions for a net-zero future. The winners were selected for their innovative approaches to reducing carbon footprint and promoting sustainability.
Meanwhile, in the funding sphere, several startups have secured substantial investments. Andisor, a digital wholesale platform, raised USD 1 million in a pre-seed round led by Antler and LaunchVic's Alice Anderson Fund, among others. Klinik Pintar, a health tech startup, raised USD 5 million in a Series A1 round led by Altara Ventures. The company plans to launch a new hybrid product next year, combining software-as-a-service and physical business models. Animoca Brands has also raised USD 11.88 million for Mocaverse, following an earlier tranche of USD 20 million. In Australia, Clove, an AI-powered recipe platform, raised AUD 4.15 million (USD 2.72 million) led by Blackbird Ventures. Clove aims to simplify cooking workflows through personalized recipes and AI assistance.
These investments and awards reflect the growing interest in innovative solutions that tackle sustainability challenges and enhance daily life through technology. The winners of the Net Zero Challenge and the funded startups demonstrate the potential of entrepreneurship in driving change and growth.
