Student detained in Dinajpur for leaking BCS exam question papers

In a significant development, a student named Mohibul Islam, aged 25, was detained last night in the Parbatipur upazila of Dinajpur district. The detainment took place near Parbatipur Station and was coordinated with railway police.

Mohibul, a resident of Uttar Atrai village in Palashbari union, is a student at a private university in Dhaka. The detainment was due to charges of leaking question papers for the upcoming BCS examination.

The detainment occurred on 18 September, the same day as the alleged BCS exam paper leak. A team from the Detective Branch (DB), Dinajpur district, identified and detained Mohibul at Birampur Railway Station and near Parbatipur Station.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) launched a shadow investigation into the alleged leak of the BCS exam paper. Mohibul was tracked by investigators using information technology during his train journey, and later that night, he was handed over to the DMP for further investigation.

However, no information was provided about the current status or future hearings regarding Mohibul Islam's detainment. Additionally, no new information was provided about the BCS examination or the leak of the BCS exam paper.

The Officer-in-charge (OC) of DB, Dinajpur, is named Rafiquzzaman. The detainment of Mohibul was carried out by a team from the DB, Dinajpur, and no location was provided for the handover of Mohibul to the DMP.
