SoMoCo's 'A Nudge' Project Finalist for CiTTi Awards 2024

SoMoCo's 'A Nudge in the Right Direction' project is finalising its innovative pedestrian crossings to encourage safe crossing behaviour. The Citi Awards 2024, set for November 26 in London, will honour this initiative alongside others promoting transport inclusivity and accessibility.

The finalists for SoMoCo's project include London Borough of Camden's Safe and Healthy Streets initiative, collaborating with Fitzrovia Youth in Action & Sustrans, and the Metropolitan Police's Toolbox Talk initiative. The latter has significantly reduced preventable road deaths in London by 62% through educating commercial vehicle operators on road safety.

The Citi Awards 2024, hosted by special guest Andrew Ryan, will take place at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms. The event expects 200 leading transport professionals and is profiled by City Transport & Traffic Innovation Magazine. Tickets can be purchased online, with tables of 10 and individual seats available.

The Transport Inclusivity and Accessibility Award, one of the categories at the Citi Awards 2024, recognises exceptional contributions in transportation education and advocacy. Finalists like London Borough of Camden's Safe and Healthy Streets initiative showcase efforts to engage underrepresented groups in transport improvements, demonstrating the event's commitment to promoting inclusive and accessible transportation.
