This role offers a unique blend of creative video production, content strategy grounded in analytics, project management, and cross-team collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of YouTube as a platform, excellent storytelling and research skills, and experience producing content for YouTube or digital platforms. While video editing experience (Premiere, Final Cut, or similar) is a plus, it is not strictly required.
Key responsibilities include coordinating video shoots, managing production timelines and budgets, acting as a liaison between editorial and branded content teams, overseeing content uploads, metadata management, and archiving, and analyzing YouTube performance data to guide content strategy. The candidate will also lead the team on video best practices and storytelling structures focused on YouTube and social performance.
The candidate should be a self-starter comfortable with a fast-paced, creative environment, have strong organizational skills, and ideally some filming/shooting experience. The work environment is flexible, offering a hybrid in-person/remote setup.
The position involves shaping a rapidly growing YouTube channel that reaches millions of people monthly across newsletter, YouTube, podcasts, and books. The YouTube Video Producer will collaborate closely with Ryan Holiday and the platform team.
