In an unexpected turn of events, a bomb threat occurred at the Goldene Aue school center in Goslar on Tuesday, around 12:45 PM. The school administration, following protocol, initiated an evacuation, but an unusual twist unfolded as a shooting alarm was activated instead of the standard bomb threat evacuation procedure.

The police took over the area and conducted a thorough search, while the district of Goslar is currently withholding further information about the alarm system used during the incident, in coordination with the police. The unusual use of a shooting alarm is under investigation to clarify why it was used instead of the usual bomb threat evacuation procedure.

Despite the chaos, the neighboring BBS Baßgeige seemed to continue classes while the police operation was underway at the Goldene Aue school center. However, it was later discovered that the BBS Baßgeige continued classes until after 1:30 PM, which is not allowed.

During the wait, there was uncertainty about the threat level, and in a real case, this could have resulted in a negative outcome. Rescue services cared for the evacuated individuals. Over 200 students and teachers had to take cover in the building during the active shooter scenario.

Several parents criticized the delay in the evacuation process, with students and teachers waiting in classrooms for up to two hours. It's worth noting that the Goldene Aue school building has multiple alarm systems, including band announcements.

The police are currently investigating the incident for disturbing the public peace, and sniffer dogs were used to search the buildings but found no dangerous objects. The school center reopened at 4:15 PM after the threat was deemed non-existent.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of clear and swift communication during emergency situations. The district of Goslar and the police are working together to provide more information and clarify the reasons behind the unusual evacuation procedure used during the bomb threat at the Goldene Aue school center.
