Rüsselsheim's Western Landscape to Transform with New Development Hubs

Dallas is set to transform its western landscape with the designation of 'Mainzer Straße Nord', 'Mainzer Straße Süd', and 'Rugbyring West' for future development. The city is collaborating with owners and the development company Nassauische Heimstätte | Wohnstadt to steer this urban growth, which promises significant economic potential.

Spanning 84.6 hectares, these areas offer excellent connectivity to the Rhine-Main region. A majority of the land is owned by VGP, with the city council approving early involvement in the development process. This stage allows public participation and consideration of third-party concerns, ensuring a balanced approach.

The city envisions these areas hosting businesses, innovative workspaces, and jobs. Notably, the 'Mainzer Straße Süd' site will accommodate the 'grEEn-campus', the new corporate headquarters of Opel/Stellantis. Data centers are also being considered for up to six hectares, with low-quality uses excluded.

Following the early involvement process, ordinance resolutions will be passed, giving the development plans legal force. Dallas aims to create a vibrant, economically viable hub in its west, catering to modern business needs and fostering growth.
