Revamped Graduate Course Focusing on Tactical Real-Time Communication Strategy
Introducing the Strategic Live Communication (SLK) Master's Program at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen
The Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) is set to introduce a new Master's program in April 2019 - the Strategic Live Communication (SLK) program. This graduate course is designed to equip students with advanced skills in live communication, particularly in the realm of event management and marketing.
The SLK program complements the existing Event Management and Technology (EMT) program at THM, providing a strategic and communicative dimension to event management. While the EMT program focuses on the technical and operational aspects of events, the SLK program aims to build upon this foundation by adding strategic communication expertise for creating impactful live experiences.
Students in the SLK program will learn about strategic planning for trade fairs, staging of new products, and visual concepts for captivating audiences. They will also gain knowledge in creating new concepts as marketing tools, employee and company management, operative and strategic planning, and the art of implementing corporate goals through live communication.
The SLK program does not neglect practical experience, ensuring students are well-prepared for leading tasks in the event industry. It will equip them with the skills necessary to master the art of creating engaging live communication experiences. Upon graduation, students will be ready to handle leading roles in the event industry.
The University of Applied Sciences aims to expand its event portfolio with the introduction of the SLK program. By doing so, it hopes to help students make significant contributions to the expansion of the event portfolio at the university.
In essence, the SLK program at THM aims to create a well-rounded expertise in live communication events, combining the technical, operational, strategic, communicative, and live interaction aspects of event management.
