Recognition of Vietnam Silicon at the 2025 HR Asia Awards
In a significant move forward, Vietnam and South Korea have signed a new agreement aimed at boosting cooperation in science and technology. This collaboration is expected to bring about innovative advancements and foster mutual growth in the tech sector.
Meanwhile, Vietnam National Software Services (VNS) has been making waves in the region. The company has been recognised with the prestigious 2025 HR Asia Award in the 'Best Companies to Work for in Asia' category. This recognition underscores VNS's people-first approach and its role as a regional innovation hub.
VNS's corporate culture is built on three core tenets: innovation without limits, collaboration without borders, and learning without end. The company regularly implements cross-functional projects to broaden employee skill sets and expose them to diverse technology domains. VNS also organises a monthly internal TechTalk series for knowledge exchange and cross-departmental engagement.
VNS's commitment to nurturing talent is evident in its first internship programme earlier this year. The programme aimed to build a pipeline of skilled young talent while deepening ties between industry and academia. The company has also partnered with leading educational institutions such as Can Tho University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, University of Science, and University of Information Technology.
Quach Nguyen Huyen Chi, managing director of VNS, spoke about the company's culture rooted in the 'Silicon Spirit' of innovation and multi-generational collaboration. VNS fosters a connected and engaging workplace through initiatives like the Vietnam Silicon X-Factor, team-building events, and monthly birthday celebrations.
The company has grown its team to more than 150 members while maintaining an employee retention rate exceeding 95 per cent. This is a testament to VNS's comprehensive benefits package that includes competitive salaries, clear career advancement pathways, full health insurance coverage, flexible work arrangements, and opportunities to participate in regional projects.
The recognition from the 2025 HR Asia Awards offers an opportunity to further refine VNS's 'Silicon Spirit' values and expand successful initiatives. The government's efforts to issue suitable policies and the support from Vietnam Silicon have seen positive results in narrowing the distance between startups and the government in Vietnam.
Elsewhere, the Thai Ministry of Agriculture's digital transformation initiative focuses on three core technology pillars: AI, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. The Vietnam Innovation Network in South Korea is urged to spearhead initiatives and foster connections that bring global expertise and cutting-edge advancements to Vietnam.
The 2025 HR Asia Awards mark an important milestone for Vietnam Silicon as it strengthens its foundations for the next phase of growth. Other notable winners in specific countries include UMC and COCA-COLA Europacific Partners Indonesia for their respective national recognitions. The organisation that received the "Best Companies to Work for in Asia" award was Dentsu Taiwan, which was honoured with this flagship award along with four special recognitions and was named "Best of the Best".
