Pursue Your Music Ambitions Through Admissions at Our School Via Clearing

Music School Offers Second Chance Through Clearing

For students who have missed out on their initial university applications or did not meet the required grades, there's a second chance to pursue their passion for music at the renowned music school. The school has announced that it will be participating in the Clearing process, providing an opportunity for motivated candidates to secure a place on one of its industry-recognised degree programs.

What is Clearing?

Clearing is a post-results application route that opens after exam results are released. It allows students who did not receive any offer or did not meet conditions of their offers to apply for available university courses still accepting students. The process enables applicants to find and secure a place on a course by contacting universities that have vacancies, often quickly and outside the regular application rounds.

Benefits of Clearing for Music Students

Clearing offers several advantages for music schools and applicants. For the music school, it provides an opportunity to fill any remaining places with interested and potentially well-suited students. For applicants, it offers an alternative entry pathway if initial application attempts do not succeed.

Because Clearing involves direct communication between applicant and university, students can explain their musical interests and qualifications, potentially improving their chances of acceptance. This personalised step is especially important in specialized fields like music, where demonstrating fit and enthusiasm might make a difference.

New Facilities at the Penn St Campus

The new Penn St campus in Shoreditch, East London, spans 19,000 additional square feet over two floors. The campus offers a rich, hands-on learning environment for experimentation, creation, and refinement of craft. The new sound engineering studios feature SSL Duality Delta and SSL Origin mixing consoles, providing students with access to top-of-the-line equipment.

The campus also offers industry-standard software such as Pro Tools HD, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Dolby Atmos audio technology, and Focusrite Rednet integration. These resources ensure that students gain practical, real-world experience that prepares them for a career in the music industry.

Courses Offered

The school offers a variety of popular degrees, including Music Production & Sound Engineering, Music Production & DJ Performance, Music Production & Vocal Performance, Music Production & Songwriting, Music Production & Software Engineering, Music Business, Radio & Podcasting (CertHE), and Foundation Year (access to degrees).

Awards and Recognition

The school's Music School has been awarded a Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). It has also been ranked 100% for Freedom of Expression and Mental Wellbeing Services.

Applying Through Clearing

To apply through Clearing, students must first confirm their eligibility and then search for courses with vacancies. Many universities update these regularly. Students can then call the universities to discuss available places and possibly secure an offer. The application process through Clearing is speedy, ensuring quick updates and decisions.

Interested students can find more information about the Clearing process on the school's website or by calling 020 7729 4884. The application process through Clearing opens after July 5.
