In the heart of the Herman & Heddy Kurz Atrium at Armstrong Hall, an extraordinary LED display has taken centre stage. The installation, designed by Exhibitry, showcases a captivating video wall that celebrates Purdue University's College of Engineering's 150th anniversary.

The 1.8mm BRILLIANT Interior LED display, provided by SNA Displays, measures 7.9x13.9 feet (1,260x2,240 pixels). Boasting vibrant colour accuracy and high brightness levels suitable for well-lit indoor spaces, the display offers a visual experience of exceptional quality.

The video wall features three significant Purdue engineers: Neil Armstrong, Amelia Earhart, and Lillian Gilbreth. From a specific viewing angle, viewers can relive Neil Armstrong's moon landing, watch Amelia Earhart depart a hangar, immerse themselves in Lillian Gilbreth's motion-tracking studies, and experience John M. Atalla's inventions, including the MOSFET. The installation also includes content pieces unique to the school's College of Engineering, such as Purdue AI Racing's autonomous race car and Purdue Space Program's rocket launch.

The LED display processes more than 2.8 million pixels, ensuring crisp and detailed visuals. Its versatility is due to its adaptable backend system and software, allowing for dynamic, customizable content which can be integrated with real-time data visualization, interactive media, and synchronized multimedia experiences.

The content management system of the LED display allows for live input during events, offering versatility for live events, despite being primarily designed for pre-scheduled content.
