Michelle (Shellie) Myers, Ed.D., appointed as the provost of Park University

Myers, an experienced higher education leader with a focus on academic affairs, faculty development, and student success initiatives, has been appointed as the provost of Park University, effective late October. In her new role, Myers will serve as the University's chief academic officer, responsible for faculty development, student assessment and support, and curriculum and compliance.

Paper by Steve Bell and Julie Creek named a "best paper"

A paper co-authored by Steve Bell, professor of economics, and Julie Creek, assistant professor of international business, titled "Corporate Governance Impact on Chinese Bank Performance and Profitability," was named a "best paper" by the Academic and Business Research Institute.

Scott Hageman's paper published in the Transactions of the Kansas Academy of Science

Scott Hageman, associate professor of geology/geosciences, and others saw their paper published in the Transactions of the Kansas Academy of Science.

Virginia (Jinny) McCoy, a former Park University Board of Trustees member and past chair of the board, was honoured by the Clay County (Mo.) Economic Development Council with a Look North Leadership Award.
