Parliament in Europe is requested to prepare a report on the execution of the given program.
In a bid to encourage discussions on democratic values and societal coexistence, a unique project has been launched in the town of Lünen, Germany. The "Partnership for Democracy Lünen" is at the forefront of this initiative, funded through the federal program "Democracy lives!" by the Federal Ministry for Family, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth.
This program supports various workshops, discussion events, public space actions, or creative projects that strengthen democratic values. In this case, a project group led by Horst Engel and Christa Damschen from the "Partnership for Democracy Lünen" collaborated with students from the "Lifelong Learning" program at the University of Münster to create democracy-themed beer mats.
These beer mats will be distributed in public facilities, restaurants, and event spaces, providing an opportunity for citizens to engage in meaningful conversations about democracy. The deadline for individual measures is set for October 5.
Interested parties can contact Stefan Wrazidlo from the AWO Ruhr-Lippe-Ems coordination and specialist office at 0160 84 06 332 for more information. It's worth noting that applications for the current funding year have already been approved by the federal program "Democracy lives!".
The "Partnership for Democracy Lünen" supports projects and initiatives that foster a diverse, respectful, and democratic society. This project, aimed at promoting democracy in their hometown, is a testament to their commitment.
