The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Eastern Railway, has announced a total of 3115 Apprentice vacancies for the year 2025. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website, rrcer.org.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
Candidates must be aged between 15 and 24 years as on the cut-off date, which is usually the date of application or 1 January 2025. Age relaxations apply as per government norms:
- OBC: 3 years
- SC/ST: 5 years
- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): 10 years
Educational Requirements
Candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or its equivalent under the 10+2 system from a recognized board with at least 50% aggregate marks. Additionally, candidates must possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) or an ITI certificate in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT. Both class 10 qualification and the trade certificate are mandatory.
Selection Process
The selection is based purely on merit, determined by marks obtained in Class 10 and the ITI/NTC certificate. There is no written exam or interview. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification to confirm eligibility and authenticity of certificates.

General/OBC/EWS candidates must pay a fee of ₹100 online. No fee is charged for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates.
