In the heart of Germany, the city of Gütersloh is making strides in nurturing the next generation of professionals. This year, 45 young individuals are commencing their careers with the city, adding to the 45 who started in 2025.
Mayor Matthias Trepper extended a warm welcome to the new career starters during a special induction event. He congratulated them for making it in a strong field of applicants and encouraged them to approach their tasks with joy, motivation, and a willingness to engage.
The new career starters come from various backgrounds, including ten dual students in the Bachelor of Laws (General Administrative Service), two students in the Bachelor of Arts (Administrative Informatics), three apprentices for administrative specialists, and one specialist in system integration.
The city is committed to providing comprehensive and qualified training for these new recruits. They will be supported by their colleagues, who will offer advice and action throughout their training. The induction week provides the new colleagues with an opportunity to get to know the city administration and its fields of work, receive important information for their daily work, and make initial contacts with each other.
In addition to the administrative and IT apprentices who have started, career starters in the education service, emergency service, and fire department have also begun their apprenticeships with the city of Gütersloh.
The city is offering careers to a total of 45 young people in 2025. This employment drive is part of the city's ongoing commitment to providing opportunities for the youth and fostering a vibrant, dynamic workforce.
