New Language Service Grant Boosts Kindergarten Staff's Language Skills
A new Pell Grant has been announced, aiming to bolster the language development and promotion skills of pedagogical specialists in kindergartens. The fund, open to public, free, and private kindergarten providers, as well as public youth welfare providers and peak associations with a Language Service structure, will provide up to €82,000 per year for up to three years.
The Pell Grant, open for applications from 6 October 2025 to 15 November 2025, seeks to enhance the operational competence of kindergarten staff in language development. Funded individuals must meet quality assurance requirements, hold social insurance, and adhere to tariff-based pay. The service will support kindergartens in everyday language development and promotion.
It's important to note that the application deadline varies by region and program. For instance, in overseas South (Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile), the deadline is June 10, 2025, while in overseas North (China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, USA, etc.), it falls on September 10, 2025.
The Pell Grant, with a maximum annual allocation of €82,000 over three years, is set to strengthen language development and promotion in kindergartens. Applications are open to a wide range of providers, with specific deadlines depending on the region and program.
