NEET UG 2025 Counseling: Complete Schedule, Needed Documents, Registration Procedures, Costs, and Important Information
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the schedule for the NEET UG Counselling 2025, which will determine admissions for MBBS, BDS, and BSC Nursing programmes under the 15% All India Quota, as well as state quotas, deemed, central universities, AIIMS, and JIPMER institutions.
To be eligible for NEET UG Counselling 2025, candidates must have qualified the NEET UG Exam 2025 and secured the required cutoff marks. The NEET UG results for 2025 were declared on June 14, 2025, with Mahesh Kumar from Rajasthan topping the list, scoring 686 out of 720.
The NEET UG Counselling registration process will commence on July 21, 2025, on the MCC's official website, mcc.nic.in. The registration fee for General category candidates is ₹1,000, and for SC/ST/OBC/PwD category is ₹500. A refundable security deposit of ₹10,000 for General category and ₹5,000 for SC/ST/OBC/PwD category is also required.
Candidates must pay the application fee and complete the registration process before the deadline of July 28, 2025, at 3:00 PM. They should then download the confirmation receipt/acknowledgement.
The first round of NEET UG counselling will run from July 21 to July 30, 2025, for state quota, and from July 30 to August 6, 2025, for AIQ/Deemed and Central Institutions. During this period, candidates can fill and lock their choices of colleges and courses. The seat allotment process for the first round will take place from July 29 to July 30, 2025.
Candidates enrolled with state medical boards under the 85% State Quota counseling program are also eligible for admission. Verification for both MCC and State counselling will occur from August 7th-8th for MCC and August 13th-14th for the States.
The result declaration for the first round of NEET UG counselling will be on July 31, 2025. If any seats remain vacant after the initial rounds, additional stray rounds may be conducted. The last date to join allotted colleges is October 3, 2025. Classes for UG medical courses are scheduled to start on September 1, 2025.
