MIT Appoints Ana Bakshi as New Executive Director of Martin Trust Center

MIT has appointed Ana Bakshi as the new executive director of the Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship. Bakshi, who comes to MIT after serving as the chief operating officer at Quench.ai, an AI startup, brings a decade of experience in building entrepreneurship centers and a strong background in entrepreneurship education and leadership.

Bakshi's appointment is timely, as the need to raise the bar for innovation-driven entrepreneurship education is urgent due to rapid changes in various fields. She will collaborate closely with Bill Aulet, the managing director of the Trust Center, to elevate the center. Aulet describes Bakshi as uniquely qualified for the role due to her experience in building two world-class entrepreneurship centers from the ground up at King's College and Oxford. At Oxford, Bakshi served as the director of the Oxford Foundry, where she focused on investing in ambitious founders and talent, supporting startups that raised over $500 million and created nearly 3,000 jobs. Bakshi joins the Trust Center at a pivotal moment in its history, with MIT at the forefront of developing people and systems for turning challenges into opportunities.

Ana Bakshi's appointment as the new executive director of the Martin Trust Center for MIT Entrepreneurship is expected to strengthen the center's position in driving innovation and entrepreneurship. Her experience in building entrepreneurship centers and her background in AI make her well-suited for the role. As she steps into the position at the start of the fall semester, Bakshi is poised to make a significant impact on the center's future.
