Exciting Win for Pettinengo Middle School Students
Pettinengo Middle School students are celebrating after winning the "Weave with Your Hands" contest, sponsored by Loro Piana, a leading name in the textile industry.
With the help of their dedicated teachers and the Biella Higher Institute of Textile, Clothing, and Fashion, the students showcased their creativity and skills throughout the project. As Professor Paganello explains, "The students were given the chance to push their boundaries and demonstrate their creativity - and lots of it!"
The initial stage had the students learning about textile design using specialized software. guided by experts, they then experimented with a weaving loom, eventually creating a unique textile piece through the process of Upcycling. To top it all off, they crafted a "model board" showcasing their project experience.
Big Wins for the Winners
Their hard work paid off when Loro Piana presented them with exciting prizes. The students received vouchers for Borgione products, like stationery and educational games, and the entire class received a special edition of Monopoly, tailored to Biella.
"We're thrilled to have participated in the contest and to have received these generous prizes," said an excited student. "This project has truly been a memorable learning experience and has inspired us to explore pursuing careers in the textile and fashion sectors."
