Kolyma participates in the extensive federal initiative of "Sanprosvet" Lectures.
In the Magadan Oblast, a series of thematic lectures have been organised as part of the first stage of the nationwide "SanProsvet" Lectures project by Rospotrebnadzor. The lectures, which took place from August to December 2025, aimed to increase young people's awareness of the main preventive measures against infectious diseases, including HIV.
Over a hundred participants, including children and teenagers, took part in the preventive events. The lectures were designed to remind participants about the importance of correctly and easily preparing for the school year, while also drawing attention to the formation of hygiene habits and responsible attitudes towards one's health.
The thematic lectures for children focused on the topic "School is coming", while those for teenagers aged 15 and above were centred around "Measures for HIV prevention". During the events, participants received leaflets on preventing infectious diseases and were shown thematic videos and clips about preventing seasonal infectious diseases and measures to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.
The first stage of the project in Magadan Oblast was conducted by medical professionals and public health educators. Specialists from the Magadan Oblast branch of Rospotrebnadzor and the Federal Budgetary Institution "Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in Magadan Oblast" led the lectures.
The lectures were held in an interactive format, allowing listeners to receive the latest information on prevention and health promotion, ask questions, and get answers. The event also addressed questions to teenagers about various aspects of HIV, including transmission, symptoms, self-protection, and HIV testing.
The "SanProsvet" Lectures project is not only happening in Magadan Oblast, but is being launched nationwide. The project aims to cover all population groups with live educational lectures in Magadan Oblast, with the goal of increasing young people's awareness and promoting a healthier lifestyle.
In addition to the lectures, participants were advised on the sanitary-hygienic rules to follow during their studies. The organisers hope that these events will contribute to a healthier and more informed community in Magadan Oblast.
