Kidzania introduces Academi, a novel frame for interactive learning experiences
New Learning Space Concept, Academi, Opens in Puebla
Get ready for an immersive learning experience as Academi, a new concept from KidZania, prepares to open its doors in the Metropolitan Area of Puebla. Located in the Riona High Plaza shopping center, Angelópolis commercial zone, Academi is set to become a unique, fun, practical, and meaningful learning space.
From August 7 to 31, Academi will be open exclusively for private tours for schools and companies. A soft opening will take place from September 1 to 18, followed by the official opening to the public on September 20.
Academi consists of seven disciplines: animation, culinary, art, robotics development, entrepreneurship, makers (object creation), and innovation with technology. Each discipline will have its own workshop, with an extension of 60 square meters. The cost of entry varies according to the chosen package, ranging from $199 pesos per person to $1,800 pesos per person.
Academi promotes learning, develops skills, inspires good values, and fosters positive attitudes. It focuses on learning through play-based, hands-on experiences that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and practical skills development. This approach aligns with KidZania’s broader learning approach, emphasizing experiential education and life skills.
The learning space offers four programs or modalities: extra-curricular, schools, and experiences for adults. The extra-curricular program is for children aged 6 to 16, with sessions lasting 1 hour, 2 times a week. The schools program offers an extended classroom experience for primary and secondary school children, with sessions lasting 4 hours, divided into 6 workshops of 25 minutes each.
Academi has a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) focus. It is designed to provide students with a comprehensive and engaging learning experience, integrating storytelling, group activities, and interactive tasks.
Visitors at Academi will be attended by experts and will use state-of-the-art tools and materials. The town of San Andrés Cholula is nearby, making it an ideal destination for a day of learning and exploration.
