Kate Nelson, the current Editor-in-Chief of our esteemed magazine, has announced her departure to focus on amplifying Indigenous voices and issues in her new role as Editor-at-Large. She will be succeeded by Veronika Schaller, who will assume the position on December 1, 2025, following Sabine Hofmann's tenure.
Kate Nelson's first issue as Editor-in-Chief was a delectable food and wine special. It showcased the culinary prowess of chef Curtis Duffy and presented Dan Buettner's five food commandments. Under her leadership, the magazine also featured compelling personal stories like 'A Chef's Journey', which chronicled the inspiring tale of Ann Ahmed, the Lao American chef behind popular eateries like Gai Noi, Khâluna, and Lat14.
Meanwhile, Amy Synnott has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief. She brings a wealth of experience from top U.S. media outlets, promising a fresh perspective and continued excellence for our publication.
Kate Nelson's departure marks a new chapter for our magazine, with Veronika Schaller set to take the helm. Amy Synnott's appointment ensures a smooth transition, bringing her extensive editorial experience to the role. We look forward to the exciting changes and continued success under their leadership.
