Job Position: Project Lead
The Active Journeys South and East team, a charity committed to reducing inequality, valuing diversity, and promoting inclusion, is on the hunt for a dynamic Project Manager. This role, funded by the Motability Foundation, focuses on planning and delivering active travel projects that encourage walking, wheeling, and cycling.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of active travel and the barriers faced by communities experiencing inequalities. They will be responsible for planning and delivering practical activities for young people in schools, supporting the implementation of School Streets schemes, and collaborating with various teams to engage communities and stakeholders.
The role requires travel and work at various locations across London and the Southeast area. The candidate should be a skilled problem solver with excellent organisational abilities, capable of leading and mentoring colleagues to foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment.

The role offers a London Weighting Allowance of £4,530 for those living within a London Borough, a Personal Pension scheme with a matching contribution, wellness support for employees, and exciting, impactful projects that stretch and empower employees. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with potential for flexible working arrangements, and offers a salary of approximately £28,831 per annum (pro rata if part-time).
