International Application Call for Netaji Subhas ICAR Fellowship in 2025 for Doctoral Studies in Agriculture; Eligibility and Deadline Details Available Now
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has opened applications for the Netaji Subhas-ICAR International Fellowship (NS-ICAR IF) 2025, a prestigious programme aimed at strengthening global agricultural research capacity.
Eligibility Criteria --------------------
To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must hold a Master's degree in agriculture or allied sciences. Fresh candidates must be below 35 years of age as of the last date of application, while in-service candidates from ICAR or Agricultural Universities are eligible up to 40 years. The fellowship is open to both Indian and foreign nationals. For Indian candidates, a minimum of 60% marks or an OGPA is required from a recognized Indian university.

Benefits of the Fellowship ---------------------------
Thirty fellowships will be awarded for a duration of up to three years. The fellowship offers an opportunity for Indian candidates to pursue a PhD in renowned international agricultural institutions abroad and for foreign candidates to enroll in a PhD program at top Indian agricultural universities. The fellowships are focused on ICAR-identified priority areas in agriculture and allied sciences.
Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend, an annual contingency grant of US $1,000 for Indian students, and Rs 40,000 for foreign students studying in India. For Indian students studying abroad, the fellowship provides US $2,000 annually. The fellowship also includes progress-based disbursements and support for research resources, and covers the economy class return airfare for the fellows, funded by ICAR.
