Chaos ensues among CA students as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) indefinitely postpones all CA Final, Intermediate, and Post Qualification Course Examinations initially set for May 9-May 14, 2025.
In a surprising move, the ICAI announced the postponement in light of the worsening security scenario across the country, following heightened tensions between India and Pakistan. In an official statement, the ICAI stated, "Considering the prevailing tense and unsafe environment in the nation, the remaining CA exam papers for Final, Intermediate, and Post Qualification Course Examinations [INTT AT] May 2025 have been postponed from May 9-May 14, 2025."
The postponement impacts numerous students as the CA Intermediate Group 2 exams were scheduled for May 9, 11, and 14, while the CA Final Group 2 papers were slated for May 8, 10, and 13. The INTT AT exams were set for May 10 and 13.
The new exam schedule will be released on the ICAI's official website at the appropriate time. In the meantime, students are urged to frequently check the website for updates and revised dates.
In addition to ICAI's decision, precautionary shutdowns are being implemented across several northern states. Schools in Jammu and Kashmir, parts of Punjab, and Rajasthan have been closed, following border hostilities.
Stay updated with the latest information on the CA exams and rescheduled dates. The Chartered Accountants Foundation May 2025 examination remains unchanged and will still be held on May 15, 17, 19, and 21, 2025. The initial admit cards issued are valid for the rescheduled exam dates.
