IBPS Probationary Officer Exam Pattern for 2025 has been revised. Key adjustments outlined below.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced updates to the exam pattern for the Probationary Officer (PO) Prelims and Mains examinations in 2025. These changes aim to align the exam with the evolving banking sector requirements and make the recruitment process more competitive and comprehensive.

**Prelims Exam Pattern 2025:**

The Prelims Exam in 2025 will feature a reshaped marking scheme and fixed sectional timings with 100 total marks over 60 minutes. The sections include English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability, each with revised marking schemes and time limits.

- English Language: 30 questions, 30 marks, 20 minutes - Quantitative Aptitude: 35 questions, now 30 marks (reduced from 35), 20 minutes - Reasoning Ability: 35 questions, now 40 marks (increased from 35), 20 minutes

Negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer remains applicable.

**Mains Exam Pattern 2025:**

The Mains Exam will have reduced the number of objective questions from 155 to 145, with a total of 200 marks and a duration of 3 hours 10 minutes (160 minutes), reduced from earlier 3 hours 30 minutes.

The section-wise distribution of the Mains Exam includes:

The Mains Exam will also include a 25-mark descriptive test with a 30-minute duration. The total marks combining objective and descriptive test sum up to 225. Sectional and overall cut-offs apply, and negative marking of 0.25 marks per incorrect answer remains applicable.
