HCM City & Germany to Strengthen Cultural Ties with Upcoming Event
Ho Chi Minh City (HCM City) and Germany are set to strengthen their cultural ties with an upcoming event focused on promoting traditional cultural values and supporting artisans. The event will involve multiple cultural organizations and aims to foster exchange and integration between the two cities.
HCM City has already seen significant developments in its relationship with Germany, including the establishment of the German International School, the Viet Nam-Germany University, and the Deutsches Haus HCM City building complex. The Viet Nam-German Friendship Association in HCM City has been actively organizing cultural exchange activities. Beyond culture, the two cities are collaborating on green energy, smart city development, healthcare, finance, and climate change initiatives.
German Consul General Andrea Suhl praised Viet Nam's high growth potential and Germany's commitment to working closely with the country, particularly HCM City. Germany intends to continue its cooperation with Viet Nam in education, sustainable development, and people-to-people interactions. The HCM City Union of Friendship Organisations (HUFO) recently held a meeting to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 35th anniversary of German Reunification.
Germany, being Viet Nam's second largest trade partner in Europe and a major ODA donor, is eager to work with Vietnamese partners in technology transfers and training a high-quality workforce. With HCM City playing a significant role in the bilateral relationship, the upcoming cultural event is expected to further enrich the ties between the two cities.
