The two-day forum will deliberate on vital topics such as capacity building, youth empowerment, artificial intelligence ethics, digital technologies, sustainable tourism, climate change, inclusion, and arts education.
The anticipated outcome of the forum is the adoption of the Youth Roadmap of UNESCO Clubs and Associations for 2025-2030, entitled "Building a Sustainable Future Together." This roadmap will outline the strategic directions for the movement's development, currently represented in 94 countries by more than 5,000 organizations. The roadmap seeks to amplify youth opportunities and strengthen the worldwide network of UNESCO club leaders.
This strategic framework was developed as a key result of the event. It aims to unite youth associations and clubs affiliated with UNESCO around a common goal of fostering sustainable development through education partnerships and active youth engagement. It highlights the critical role of education in attaining sustainable development and encourages collective action among young people to overcome global challenges.
The Youth Roadmap addresses several interconnected themes and key issues, including education, sustainable development, youth empowerment, global citizenship, and cultural dialogue. By joining forces, UNESCO youth groups will contribute to tackling pressing global issues and strive for a more sustainable and equitable future.
- The Youth Roadmap of UNESCO Clubs and Associations, aiming for adoption during the forum, will emphasize the role of environmental-science education in addressing climate-change, a critical global challenge.
- The two-day event will also focus on learning opportunities in digital technologies and artificial intelligence ethics, essential elements for personal-growth and self-development in the modern world.
- By encouraging youth engagement and partnership in education, the Youth Roadmap, as a part of the education-and-self-development strategy, seeks to foster a culture of inclusion and mutual understanding, promoting global citizenship and cultural dialogue.
