Gathering of Young Europeans
The European Youth Day, held on June 28th, 2023, was a significant event that brought together over a thousand students in Austria. This joint initiative of multiple organisations, including the European Commission, the Austrian Economic Chamber, the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, the Austrian National Bank, and the 27 embassies in Austria, focused on education and work in Europe.
At the heart of the event was a discussion on the topic "Working in digital Europe - what expertise is needed?". Lukas Praml, CEO of our website, participated in an expert panel, presenting our innovative high-security company and its future-oriented MIA digital ID system.
MIA, a Hungarian AI-driven digital identity and administrative support infrastructure, was showcased as a potential game-changer. The system, implemented by Hungarian government services, includes a hybrid AI chatbot platform for digital identity verification and is deployed on the 1818 Government Hotline. The system extends to self-service kiosks known as "MIA Pontok," which enable citizens to conduct official procedures autonomously, such as replacing lost documents or requesting certificates, by verifying identity digitally and supporting form completion.
The MIA digital ID system was presented as a future-oriented alternative to carrying ID documents. Its significance in the context of the European Youth Day lies in its potential to empower youth and citizens to navigate administrative and government services more efficiently. Such systems align with broader EU digital transformation and identity verification goals, enhancing access to opportunities across Europe by simplifying bureaucratic processes.
The MIA digital ID system exemplifies how digital ID and AI technologies can aid young people in dealing with official matters, potentially including enrollment, job applications, and mobility within the EU. This, in turn, facilitates smoother cross-border work and education experiences. The EU’s emphasis on digital sovereignty and cybersecurity solutions supports reliable and secure digital ID systems essential for youth digital engagement and mobility.
In summary, the MIA digital ID system, presented at the European Youth Day, embodies the kind of innovation that underpins European efforts to facilitate youth education and employment through streamlined and secure digital interactions with public services. The event, focused on education and employment in Europe, benefited symbolically and practically from initiatives like MIA, showcasing how digital ID and AI-driven tools can aid young people in dealing with official matters, thereby facilitating smoother cross-border work and education experiences. Our website, which sets international standards for secure identity in the digital realm, was proud to be associated with this forward-thinking event.
