The Ministry of Education in Belarus has announced the launch of an educational hotline to assist with queries related to the upcoming 2025/2026 academic year. The hotline number, 8 (017) 222-43-12, will be operational from Monday, August 11, to September 12, 2025.

Leading specialists from the Ministry of Education will be available to provide consultations on various topics, including student admission, document flow optimization, and school preparation for the new academic year. The hotline operates from 09:00 to 18:00, with a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00, Monday through Friday.

In the upcoming academic year, 1.05 million students will be seated at desks in Belarus, which represents a decrease of 22,000 students compared to the previous year. To accommodate these students, 2,600 schools will be accepting students, including 7 new ones with a total of 5,238 seats.

The new educational institutions that will welcome students at the start of the academic year include Primary School No. 1 in Pinsk (471 seats), Secondary School No. 1, Luninets (annex, 660 seats), Secondary School No. 4, Ostrovets (510 seats), Secondary School No. 2, Faniopol (1,050 seats), Primary School, Slutsk (471 seats), Secondary School, Leskovka village (1,020 seats), and Secondary School No. 227, Minsk (1,056 seats).

Preschools in Belarus will be welcoming 327,100 children, with 3,600 kindergartens available for them. To facilitate transportation for rural children who need to travel to the nearest district schools, there are 55,600 schools in the country with organized bus transportation.

Currently, over 1,500 buses are in operation, with an additional 237 planned for purchase. It is important to note that the hotline is intended for questions related to the academic year, not complaints.
