On the night of Selection Sunday, an exciting development took place at the College of the Holy Cross. The Investments and Institutional Resources Office unveiled a new online platform called Ignite, aimed at offering transparency and detailed information about the management of the College's endowment.

The endowment, a crucial financial resource for the College, is primarily used for hiring more faculty members, supporting student scholarships, and funding academic programs. Its strong performance has enabled Holy Cross to cover tuition for students whose families earn less than $100,000.

Daniel P. Ricciardi '06, the Assistant Treasurer and AVP of Investments and Institutional Resources at the College, plays a significant role in this endeavour.

The Ignite site features a user-friendly interface with FAQs, explanations of terms, and a video of a town hall with investment partners. It also includes a captivating image courtesy of College of the Holy Cross. Users can easily share the site on various platforms such as X, Facebook, email, and print.

The Hope + Access campaign, which began in January 2021 and will continue until June 2022, is closely linked to this initiative. This philanthropic mission aims to raise $40 million for need-based financial aid, enabling all admitted students to attend the College of the Holy Cross.

Recent news surrounding the College, including the impact of Massachusetts online sports betting on the Holy Cross Endowment Fund, has sparked conversations. President Rougeau, who was sitting in his living room beside the fireplace when he realized the impact, has been actively involved in these discussions.

On Thursday, November 14th, President Rougeau met with the editors-in-chief to cover topics such as the College's endowment, recent news, and the upcoming holiday.

For those seeking precise and up-to-date information, visiting the official College of the Holy Cross Investments and Institutional Resources web pages or contacting their office directly is recommended.
