Digital Management Firm G&B unveils a complimentary 'Creator Economy' training program, particularly tailored for members of Hollywood unions (Limited Access)
G&B Digital Management, an independent digital talent management firm, is launching a free, in-person master class titled "Flipping the Script". The four-hour course, run by G&B’s College of Influence and led by G&B founder Kyle Hjelmeseth and Director of Education Joey Gagliardi, aims to help Hollywood professionals transition to the digital creator economy.
The master class consists of three sessions, taking place on Aug. 21 and Sept. 4 at Soho House’s Soho Works in West Hollywood. The sessions are designed to provide participants with the knowledge and guidance needed to build a powerful online presence.
Session 1, The Tools of Influence, focuses on discovering how to find a niche, build trust and connection with an audience through content, and stand out in a crowded digital space.
Session 2, Selling via Social, delves into constructing marketable profiles, strategic planning, and partnership promotion with hands-on content creation.
Session 3, Building Connection Through Content, culminates in a panel discussion on integrating Hollywood careers with creator dynamics. The panel includes industry creators such as Stephanie Liu Hjelmeseth, Sally Pressman (Army Wives), Chad Jamian, and @mervthepet, moderated by Kyle Hjelmeseth. This session offers a candid conversation on integrating on-screen goals with off-screen growth, discussing sustainable routines, creative boundaries, and building community from the ground up.
The master class comes amid a decline in LA TV and film production and a rise in viewership on social video platforms like YouTube and TikTok. This program is an intensive educational experience designed to empower professionals in traditional entertainment with the skills to thrive in the growing digital content marketplace, projected to reach $480 billion by 2027.
Members of A.M.P.A.S., the Television Academy, and Hollywood guilds are eligible and can register now for these master classes. This initiative is part of G&B's commitment to empower traditional entertainment workers in the digital creator economy.
