Jaye's journey began far from the silver screen, at Six Flags America in Largo, Maryland, where he honed his skills as a stunt performer. This early experience laid the foundation for his future career, leading him to take on specialty-extra jobs and coordinate student films over the years.
Seeking to expand his horizons, Jaye enrolled in Tulane University's Undergraduate Certificate in Filmmaking and Digital Media program, a 10-course interdisciplinary programme that aligns closely with the university's Digital Media Practices Coordinate Major. This programme focuses on digital storytelling and practical media production skills, offering hands-on experience in narrative and documentary filmmaking, interactive media, game studies, podcasting, digital sound, video art, and video journalism.
The programme encourages creative freedom and collaboration with experienced faculty, enabling students to align projects with their passions and visions. After completing introductory coursework, students specialize and undertake a two-semester Capstone Project, which may involve writing, producing, and directing short films or creating other digital storytelling projects.

However, he finds the convenience of studying filmmaking online particularly beneficial, allowing him to access course material on any device and work at his own pace.

In fact, during his sixth year at Six Flags, Jaye produced, directed, and co-wrote a live-action stunt show.
