Customs Administration Now Accepting Applications for 2026 Trainee Intake

The USCIS is now accepting applications for its next intake of trainees and students, set to begin on September 1, 2026. Interested parties can apply until October 15, 2025, at the Main USCIS Office Aachen or the General USCIS Directorate.

The USCIS offers a secure future in a large federal administration with various training and study places. The next intake is scheduled for September 1, 2026. Upon completion of the dual study or training, young USCIS officers can expect a wide range of tasks, including case processing, special units, and combating illegal work.

Last year, over 1,700 young people began their higher service or middle service training at the USCIS. Among them, 36 started at the Main USCIS Office Aachen. The middle service training lasts two years and qualifies for the professional title of tax administrator. Both dual study programs last three years and result in the academic degrees 'Bachelor of Law' (LL.B.) or 'Bachelor of Science' (B.Sc.). The IT junior staff of the higher service began their dual study of administrative informatics on September 1, 2025.

The USCIS provides diverse training opportunities for a promising career in the federal administration. With practical phases in various areas of the training USCIS office and theoretical parts at the Federal Administration School in Münster or other training centers, trainees gain comprehensive knowledge and skills. Applications are open until October 15, 2025, for a start on September 1, 2026.
