Stacey Graves, the trailblazing first female Chief of Police in the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) history, is set to deliver a keynote speech at Park University's Women Transforming Criminal Justice event on March 13, 2024.
Graves' distinguished career with KCPD began in 1997 as a civilian records clerk. She later joined the police academy and climbed the ranks, becoming Chief in December 2022.
Graves' educational background, which spans across three levels of degrees, has undoubtedly shaped her approach to leadership. She holds an Associate in Arts degree from Metropolitan Community College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Administration of Justice from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree in leadership from Benedictine College. Her studies in leadership, administration of justice, and business administration have equipped her with the necessary skills to lead KCPD effectively.
