CNRS Alumni Network Surpasses 800 Members, Looks to Global Impact
The CNRS alumni network, launched in January 2025, has swiftly grown to over 800 members. It aims to foster engagement, create spaces for interaction, and assert a scientific, societal, and international influence. The network's first alumni festival, held on September 26, 2025, sparked new initiatives and marked a significant turning point.
Guillaume Stahl, an alumnus and former CNRS researcher, now serves as the network's general delegate. He leads the network's strategic committee, advising on major orientations and promoting shared governance.
The network seeks to highlight alumni trajectories and create bridges, making CNRS alumni a driving force for the organisation's future. It aims to keep the sense of belonging alive and offer concrete services, fostering connections across geographical areas and disciplines.
Future plans focus on strengthening network activation both internationally and locally. This includes facilitating cross-border collaborations, increasing alumni involvement in research and professional activities, and organising events that integrate global and local network members. The network also aims to leverage international projects and local engagement initiatives to enhance visibility and influence.
With over 800 members from various sectors, including active and former CNRS agents, the network is poised to achieve its goals. By maintaining a lasting link with the organisation and creating an open, interdisciplinary, international, and useful community, the CNRS alumni network is set to make a significant impact.
