In the picture we can see three boys standing near the desk on it, we can see two computer systems towards them and one boy is talking into the microphone and they are in ID cards with red tags to it and behind them we can see a wall with an advertisement board and written on it as Russia imagine 2013.

Businesses Face Urgent AI Security Challenges

Businesses worldwide are grappling with the rapid evolution of AI, which brings both immense opportunities and significant security challenges. As AI-based cyber threats escalate in complexity and frequency, organizations must adapt their security strategies to ensure safe operation in this new era.

Currently, only 49% of organizations have a clear understanding of AI threats. While 96% plan to upgrade their IT infrastructure, only 45% allocate more than 10% of their IT budget to social security. This disparity highlights the urgent need for businesses to grasp AI trends and invest adequately in security measures.

To navigate this landscape, achieving sustainable security is paramount. This involves businesses enhancing their security maturity, restructuring information security strategies, and staying informed about evolving AI threats. Failure to do so could result in AI systems causing harm to the economy, society, and public security.

The global shift towards active cybersecurity strategies is evident. By the end of 2024, 132 countries had a National Cyber Security Strategy, up from 107 countries in 2021. Countries like the UK have initiated such strategies, and Germany is enhancing its measures. However, the completion of strategies for other countries is not universally specified.

Experts at the recent CIO CSO 2025 Summit in Hà Nội emphasized the fundamental role of cybersecurity in socio-economic development and data sovereignty. The summit, organized by Viettel Cyber Security Company and IEC Group, provided practical experiences such as simulating cyber attack scenarios and demonstrating defence solutions to help organizations bolster their response capabilities. It was held under the auspices of the Central Commission for Policy and Strategy and the Institute for Policy and Strategy Research.

With AI-based cybersecurity attacks increasing in complexity, scale, and speed, and 86% of organizations experiencing at least one AI-related incident, businesses must prioritize understanding AI threats and investing in robust social security measures. The global trend towards active cybersecurity strategies underscores the importance of businesses grasping AI trends and enhancing their security maturity to operate safely in the AI era.
