The UCL India Summer Extravaganza: A Transformative Week at The British School New Delhi!
From June 2nd to June 7th, 2025, The British School New Delhi highlight reel began with the arrival of 70 ambitious pre-university students. The sprawling, cutting-edge campus was the perfect backdrop for this event—the second iteration of the UCL India Summer School. They flew in from all corners, eager to dive headfirst into a week of academia fit for a top-tier UK university.
The UCL faculty heavyweights gracefully returned to The British School after last year's successful inauguration, ready to lead these young scholars on a journey into the unknown areas of academic excellence.
Student-Centric, Real-World Learning
The UCL India Summer School was not your typical lecture fest. It blended traditional classrooms with hands-on workshops, fostering creative thinking and the application of interdisciplinary knowledge to tackle real-world challenges. There were six compelling pathways to choose from: Globalization and Tech, Law and Ethics, Economics and Health, Climate Change and the Future City, Understanding the Human Brain, and Medical Sciences and AI. With just 12 students per class, personalized mentorship was guaranteed from the esteemed professors.
Each day closed with a riveting plenary session, covering vital topics such as career development, academic practices, and strategies to conquer the UK university application process. The knowledge acquired went beyond the classroom, arming these young minds with invaluable insights into the world of academia.
Celebrating Success: The Grand Finale
The UCL India Summer School culminated in a resounding valedictory ceremony, where students showcased their collaborative projects. Families, professors, and school leadership gathered to celebrate the week's achievements, forging a strong bond between all participants.
