Berlin Conference Explores Children's Rights in Early Childhood Education
A specialist conference on children's rights in early childhood education and care was recently held in Berlin. Led by Prof. Dr. Jörg Maywald, a renowned sociologist, psychologist, and pedagogue, the event was well-received by municipal pedagogical experts.
The conference provided an overview of the legal anchoring of children's rights, a topic of particular relevance in daycare settings. Participants explored how educators and pedagogues can ensure children's opinions are heard and needs are respected. Children's rights were discussed as central to protecting children and fostering their participation and development.
