Authorities in Tomsk have uncovered 18 instances of hazardous transgressions committed by adolescents
In a bid to ensure road safety and uphold the law, the GIBDD in the Tomsk region has been actively enforcing regulations against handing control of a vehicle to minors without a driving license.
During a recent preventive event aimed at curbing traffic violations by minors, six instances were identified where adults had given control of their vehicles to underage drivers without valid licenses. No new cases were reported from July 11 to 18.
The authorities, in these cases, have sent information to departments for minors for further preventive work with teenagers and their parents. Those responsible for such actions face administrative penalties of 30,000 rubles (approximately several hundred USD depending on the exchange rate), as outlined in Article 12.7, Part 3 of the Russian Federation's Code of Administrative Offenses.
Moreover, 11 vehicles of the violators were impounded. It's important to note that such traffic violations pose a real threat to the life and health of minors as well as other road users.
