Astana will have 24 schools offering a comfortable learning environment – as announced by Genis Kasymbek.

In the bustling city of Astana, preparations are underway for the upcoming academic year as 127 new schools are set to open their doors, accommodating approximately 99,000 students. This expansion forms part of a larger nationwide initiative to improve access to quality education.

The construction of these schools is in line with the instruction of the Head of State and is a significant step towards addressing overcrowding in several schools. Seven of these new schools will be built as part of the national project "Comfortable School", a term used to denote schools with improved facilities or amenities.

The remaining 15 schools will be opened within Astana itself, bringing the total number of comfortable schools in the city to 24. The construction of these schools is taking place in all districts of the city, ensuring equitable distribution of resources.

These expansions and modernizations aim to improve access and quality education throughout Kazakhstan, including its capital Astana. The city is focusing on the construction of social facilities, specifically educational institutions.

The construction of kindergartens, school palaces, and other social facilities continues in Astana. This ongoing work is part of a broader effort to accommodate a growing number of students in the city.

As the new academic year approaches, excitement builds among the 4.1 million students across Kazakhstan, including Astana, who will begin classes on September 1. Among them are 341,000 first graders and 232,000 graduating 11th graders.

The school modernization efforts focus especially on rural areas, with 1,000 rural schools set for upgrades this year and over 4,000 already modernized. The "Keleshek Mektepteri" (Schools of the Future) project plans to build a total of 217 new schools, with 128 already constructed, further expanding educational infrastructure.

The announcement of these new schools was made by Akim Kasymbek on his Instagram account, with him, along with the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan and the Minister of Education and Science, inspecting the construction progress of these comfortable schools. The news was also reported by Vechernaya Astana.

With these new schools, Astana continues to prioritize the growth and development of its educational infrastructure, ensuring quality education for its students and contributing to the nation's overall educational goals.
