Annual Cultural Event, REMIX 2023, celebrated by Indian Institute of Art & Design at their annual festival.
The Indian Institute of Art & Design hosted its annual cultural fest, REMIX, on the 6th and 7th of March, 2023, at its campus in Okhla, New Delhi. The event aimed to celebrate freedom, creativity, and expression among students.
The first day of REMIX 2023 ended on a high note with a music performance and DJ night. The second day began with RE-THINK, a quiz competition. The event featured a variety of activities including music, dance-offs, a fashion auction, stand-up comedy performances, business idea pitches, and a DJ.
RE-TELL was a debate competition that aimed to improve communication skills and foster understanding of different perspectives. RE-IGNITE was an inter-college business competition. RE-VOLVE was a dance-off event, while RE-VERSE was the closing performance, featuring designers, models, and choreographers.
Visitors could enjoy games and inter-college competitions throughout the event. Tarot card readings and temporary tattoos designed by student tattoo artists were also available. All the products at the event were environmentally friendly, sustainable, and innovative.
Some of the sustainable articles created for sale included bags, printed T-shirts, jackets, diaries, artistic lino prints, bookmarks, wooden and terracotta animals, pen stands, bamboo sound amplifiers, and paint brush holdall. The prices for the offered handmade products were set by the individual artisans or sellers participating in the event.
Various stalls of handcrafted products made by students were put up by all departments of the Indian Institute of Art & Design. The second day of REMIX 2023 concluded with a Holi celebration. The Holi celebration included music, dance, and the use of colours.
REMIX 2023 culminated with an award distribution ceremony to recognise the winners of various competitions. The event was a resounding success, providing a platform for students to showcase their creativity and talents, and promoting sustainability and innovation.
