===============================================================================

Sessions College has a long-standing tradition of involving students in its decision-making processes through the Student Ambassadors program, which was established in 2010. This dynamic team of volunteer students plays a vital role in shaping the institution, gathering student feedback, and facilitating communication to improve programs, services, and campus life.

Comprising of dedicated individuals, the Student Ambassador team for the 2021-2022 academic year is yet to be officially announced. However, their contributions have been instrumental in various initiatives, such as the development of the institution's first Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design program.

In this innovative program, student feedback was crucial in identifying key features like customised educational plans, a focus on research and presentation, the inclusion of work experience and business preparation, and more. The Student Ambassadors' insights have been pivotal in ensuring the program meets the needs and interests of the students.

The Student Ambassadors have also demonstrated their value in institutional development by participating in events that promote community engagement. Furthermore, they act as liaisons during orientations, open houses, or recruitment efforts, providing firsthand student perspectives.

One of their most significant achievements was their contribution to the successful 2020 DEAC renewal of accreditation, which allowed the institution to pass its 5-year accreditation with flying colours. In the preceding academic year, the Student Ambassadors represented the student body during the Spring 2020 DEAC renewal of accreditation.

The new Graphic Design program, which was released for enrollment into January classes this week, is a testament to the Student Ambassadors' impact on shaping the institution and gathering student feedback.
