Finn School Partners with Swansea University and University of Leicester for Affordable and Efficient UK Degrees

In a major development for Thai students seeking global education, Finn School has announced partnerships with Swansea University and the University of Leicester. This collaboration will allow students to embark on a 2+1 system, enabling them to earn a top UK degree more affordably and efficiently.

Founded in 2014, Finn School is Thailand's largest provider of the UK 2+1 pathway. Over the years, it has forged partnerships with these prestigious universities following a rigorous and lengthy negotiation process.

The 2+1 system allows Thai students to complete the first two years of their undergraduate studies in Thailand by earning UK Level 4 and 5 diplomas. Upon successful completion, students can transition to their final year at one of over 27 partnered UK universities, including Swansea University and the University of Leicester, to complete their bachelor's degree. Graduates receive their degree directly from the UK institution.

This system provides a more affordable and efficient path for Thai students. By significantly reducing the costs associated with studying abroad, especially expenses for living and tuition during the first two years, which are completed locally, it opens up opportunities for a wider range of students. The program is flexible, fast-track, and globally recognised, enabling completion of a UK degree in three years.

Finn School delivers an Ofqual-accredited curriculum taught by experienced faculty with strong academic and English language preparation, plus personalized guidance that helps students confidently choose their final university destination. This model offers a well-supported transition and broadens students’ perspectives, preparing them for global opportunities in fields such as Business Administration and Hospitality & Tourism Management.

To be eligible for the 2+1 program, students need to achieve a "Pass" grade at Finn and an IELTS score of 6.0. The Finn School curriculum is internationally recognized and taught by experienced faculty.

This collaboration includes the British Embassy in Thailand, further endorsing the credibility of the pathway. Finn School has over 500 alumni who have been prepared for success on the global stage. Beyond graduation, Finn provides support for alumni, including guidance on postgraduate studies and career development.

The new partnerships with Swansea University and the University of Leicester are a major milestone. Swansea University's Business and Management programs are on par with institutions like King's College London. The University of Leicester offers an undergraduate top-up degree program with a Thai institution for the first time.

This partnership provides a trusted and credible pathway to a global degree for Thai students, saving them both time and money. Finn's approach empowers students, allowing them to choose their university, thereby offering a unique and personalised educational journey.

  1. The international partnership between Finn School, Swansea University, and the University of Leicester supports the education-and-self-development of Thai students, offering an online-learning pathway for degrees in fields such as Business Administration and Hospitality & Tourism Management.
  2. Finn School's collaboration with Swansea University and the University of Leicester ensures a more efficient and affordable means of achieving UK degrees, with the 2+1 system allowing students to save on living and tuition costs during the first two years through learning locally.
